To Never Be Put On Your Face…

delicate

As beauty trends change and develop, more and more weird and odd skincare and makeup ideas surface.

So, today we are cracking down on the many things that you should never put on your face.

1. Body Lotion and Foot Creams.

Body lotion may not sound to bad, but it is a lot thicker than a face moisturiser and many contain fragrances that can irritate the skin.

Equally foot creams which many use on very dry areas are much too thick for the face as they are formulated to break down calluses on your feet.

They can also contain harmful ingredients that can damage delicate skin.

2. Hair Spray, Serum and Shampoo.

You may have heard it before, but hairspray has been used to set makeup, however with a heavy amount of lacquer and alcohol, it really dries out the skin and makes it appear older and dehydrated.

Hair spray is also a repellent, meaning it can irritate the skin and leave it red and bumpy. Equally hair shampoo and serum can cause the skin to become irritated, dry and flakey.

3. Deodorant.

Used to prevent perspiration, even on the face, deodorant is a bad idea. Leaving the skin unable to breathe, you will find the reverse effect of trying to mattify your face by suppressing it with deodorant.

4. Vegetable Shortening, Mayonnaise and Vinegar.

Although many believe this can be applied to your body to help treat psoriasis, vegetable shortening and mayonnaise are far too heavy for your face and may even clog your pores, leading to breakouts.

Likewise many have applied vinegar as a toner, but this can actually burn your skin.

So, do not venture to far off the beauty track and stick to your daily skincare rituals to ensure you are using products and ingredients that can not harm your skin.
